What is the eNaTiS?
The National Traffic Information System (eNaTiS) is used as a register that supports the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act no. 93 of 1996) and Regulations.

The eNaTiS includes registers of the following:
  • Motor vehicles.
  • Vehicle manufacturers, importers and builders.
  • Motor trade numbers.
  • Temporary and special permits.
  • Operators.
  • Driving licences and professional driving permits.
  • Infrastructure: authorised officers, instructors, driving licence testing centres, vehicle testing stations, examiners of vehicles and examiners of driving licences.
  • Accidents.
  • Contraventions.
  • Vehicle fitness (roadworthiness).
The eNaTiS also provides for:
  • Person and financial information.
  • System monitoring and evaluation.
