Futura learners were excited and uplifted when they received their own personal soccer balls.
Tasima, a technology company that implements and manages the e-natis system on behalf of the department of transport, donated 280 soccer balls to Futura School for children with intellectual disabilities recently. This initiative is part of Tasima’s ongoing outreach project. Futura School welcomed this warm gesture with open arms, seeing it as good timing with the celebration of Mandela Day and with the Soccer World Cup coming to an end. All of the Futura learners received soccer balls.
The children were also treated to cake that the teachers baked especially for them.
Their delight was a pleasure to watch and their gratitude touched the heart of tame TIMES.
The learners made thank you cards to give to Tasima representatives and the reporters. This was accompanied by a jar of jam or chutney and a beaded key ring that was made by the children.
A magical moment for all parties involved.
